I have to be honest, I was pretty slow to embracing La Roux’s debut. I kept wanting it to be Ladyhawke and it wasn’t, but as with most catchy pop the album really grew on me over the past six months and I’ve really grown to like it.
I haven’t even heard a single track off of this Lazerproof project with Major Lazer, so I’m recommending it totally unheard. But you know what? I think we an all safely agree that a mix of Diplo, Switch and La Roux is bound to be a really, really good thing. Plus it’s thing is a free download, what do you got to lose? I’m hoping this shit gets all electro Chaka Khan on me, guess there is only one way to find out! *click*

Felix Cartal – Popular Music
Not quite as big as Drone was, but I’m really feeling the single of Felix Cartal’s debut LP Popular Music. I’m most interested to hear Berlin though which I’ve heard is even more intense than Drone. Anyone else excited for this album?

There are tracks that get so many hype in advance that basically there’s no introduction needed at all. the a-trak remix of ‘heads will roll’ by yeah yeah yeahs is one of them. in early october, annie mac played the banging remix on her radio show and ever since requests have been popping up everywhere on forums all over and radio rips have been floating around to as a substitute for the real thing.
This track has already been championed by Busy P, Erol Alkan and Co. down at Parklife in Aussie now it is all your turn to bump this track. Now I think it is time for some original tracks from Mr. A-Trak.
